Happy Saturday, dear readers! I hope that you’ve been enjoying all of our Indie Horror Month coverage so far, and that you’ll continue to join in on the celebration right here on Daily Dead for the rest of April as well. Yesterday, I paid tribute to the wave of independent horror that was released throughout the 1980s (you can read that piece HERE) so I thought it only made sense to focus on a most excellent streaming resource where you can find a ton of great indie genre movies from that decade and watch them for free - Tubi TV.
While Tubi’s collection of ‘80s horror is vast, I went ahead and picked out 25 great genre classics that are currently available on their platform to stream, but please know that by no means is this everything from the 1980s that Tubi has to offer, so be sure to check out their entire streaming catalog for even more horror offerings.

Synopsis: A small group of scientists and soldiers have taken refuge in an underground missile silo where they struggle to control the flesh-eating horror that walks the earth above.
The Gate
Synopsis: Two boys discover treasure in a hole in their backyard but inadvertently open a gate to Hell, unleashing demons into their home.
The Changeling
Synopsis: A Manhattan composer is consumed by grief after his wife and daughter are killed in a shocking accident. But when he moves to a secluded Victorian mansion, he will find himself haunted by a paranormal entity that may unleash an even more disturbing secret. Based on actual events.
Vamp
Synopsis: A group of fraternity pledges head for the seedy side of the city in search of strippers and discover a sinister spot called The After Dark Club. The Evil Dead

Heather A. Wixson was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, until she followed her dreams and moved to Los Angeles in 2009.
