It was recently announced that Eli Roth's The Green Inferno will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Thanks to its TIFF profile, we an updated synopsis and new photos.

"How far would you go for a cause you believe in? In horror master Eli Roth’s terrifying new film, a group of college students take their humanitarian protest from New York to the Amazon jungle, only to get kidnapped by the native tribe they came to save: a tribe that still practices the ancient rite of cannibalism, and has a healthy appetite for intruders."

This will be the first feature film for Roth since 2007′s Hostel: Part II and we’re interested to see what he has in store for us. The Green Inferno was written by Eli Roth and Guillermo Amoedo. According to previous reports, the cast includes Daryl Sabara (Spy Kids), Kirby Bliss Blanton (Project X), Lorenza Izzo (Aftershock), Ariel Levy (Aftershock), Aaron Burns, Magda Apanowicz (Caprica), and Sky Ferreira.
