We'll have to wait a little longer to see the return of one of the galaxy's most feared hunters in the new Predator movie.

Exhibitor Relations reports that 20th Century Fox will now release The Predator in theaters on on September 14th, 2018, moving several weeks from its previous August 3rd release date. Exhibitor Relations mentions that the new release date may be due to Fox wanting to get closer to the September 8th release date of New Line Cinema's 2017 IT movie, which went on to bring in over $700 million worldwide.

In addition to The PredatorExhibitor Relations reports that Fox also moved the release of Robert Rodriguez's Alita: Battle Angel from July 20th to December 21st.

The Predator was directed by Shane Black, who co-starred as the wisecracking Rick Hawkins in 1987's Predator. Black worked from a screenplay he co-wrote with Fred Dekker, who co-wrote The Monster Squad with Black back in the 1980s.

The cast of The Predator includes Alfie Allen, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Sterling K. Brown, Olivia Munn, and Jake Busey, who is expected to play the son of Peter Keyes, Gary Busey's character from Predator 2.

Set to be rated "R," The Predator was filmed in Vancouver, and while an official synopsis has yet to be revealed, we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information is announced.
