The Firefly family won't be the only ones returning in Rob Zombie's new Devil's Rejects movie 3 From Hell, as the filmmaker announced today that Danny Trejo will reprise his role as Rondo, one half of the bounty hunting duo known as the Unholy Two.

Rob Zombie announced the latest 3 From Hell casting news on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself with Trejo (see below) on the set of 3 From Hell. In The Devil's Rejects, Trejo's character (Rondo) and the other half of the Unholy Two, Billy Ray Snapper (Dallas Page) tracked down the Firefly family for the revenge-seeking Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe).

It's not yet known if Page will also reprise his role as Billy Ray Snapper in the new Devil's Rejects movie, but Trejo joins a growing cast that includes Jeff Daniel Phillips, Dee Wallace, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, David Ury, Clint Howard, Emilio Rivera, Daniel Roebuck, and Dot-Marie Jones, along with the Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Sid Haig (the lattermost is expected to return but has yet to be fully confirmed for the film).

Zombie recently confirmed that the new Devil's Rejects movie has begun filming, and while an official synopsis has yet to be revealed, 3 From Hell is expected to follow the continued adventures of Otis (Bill Moseley), Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), who were last seen (spoiler warning if you haven't seen The Devil's Rejects) driving into a barrage of bullets at a police barricade that ended their hellish road trip.
