With coronavirus-induced self-quarantining and social distancing forcing the shutdowns of movie theaters around the world, Lionsgate has delayed the theatrical releases of Spiral (also known as Spiral: From the Book of Saw), Antebellum, and Run.

Lionsgate shared the news of the new postponements on Twitter, sharing the following message:

Antebellum was slated for an April 24th release, Run was due out on May 8th, and Spiral was expected to come out on May 15th. Unsurprisingly, with the future uncertain due to COVID-19, new release dates have not been revealed at this time, and there have been no announcements of these films coming early to VOD, as Universal recently did with The Invisible Man (2020) and The Hunt.

The trio of horror movies join other titles that have been postponed due to the coronavirus, including Paramount's A Quiet Place Part II and Disney's The Mutants and Antlers.

We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on Spiral, Antebellum, and Run as more details are revealed. In the meantime, we have details and the previously released trailers for all three films below.

Antebellum synopsis: "Successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late."

Written and directed by Gerard Bush & Christopher Renz, Antebellum stars Janelle Monáe, Marque Richardson II, Eric Lange, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Rob Aramayo, Lily Cowles, and Jena Malone.

Run synopsis: "They say you can never escape a mother’s love... but for Chloe, that’s not a comfort — it’s a threat. There’s something unnatural, even sinister about the relationship between Chloe (newcomer Kiera Allen) and her mom, Diane (Sarah Paulson). Diane has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth, and there are secrets that Chloe's only beginning to grasp. From the visionary writers, producers and director of the breakout film Searching, comes a suspense thriller that shows that when mom gets a little too close, you need to RUN.

Lionsgate presents, a Search Party production."

Directed by Aneesh Chaganty from a screenplay by Chaganty & Sev Ohanian, Run stars Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw synopsis: "A sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in SPIRAL, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game."

Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg & Pete Goldfinger, Spiral stars Chris Rock, Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols, and Samuel L. Jackson.
