One of the most exciting genre events in recent years, the Salem Horror Fest celebrated another successful gathering of horror lovers last year, and Daily Dead was thrilled to be a media sponsor of the 10-day event. This year's Salem Horror Fest looks to be the most memorable one yet, including a special double feature screening of Michael Dougherty's Trick ’r Treat (in celebration of the 10th anniversary of its wide release on Blu-ray and DVD) and Charles Martin Smith's Trick or Treat.

The Trick ’r Treat / Trick or Treat double feature will take place on Friday, October 11th at CinemaSalem beginning at 7:00pm. To learn more about the double feature, visit Salem Horror Fest's official website.

Salem Horror Fest 2019 will begin on Thursday, October 3rd and run through Sunday, October 13th. If you're looking to book a hotel or secure an Airbnb, then you'll want to do it here sooner rather than later, as space is limited.

We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on further announcements from the festival. In the meantime, read on for additional details on the double feature, check here for our previous Salem Horror Fest 2019 news, and keep an eye on Salem Horror Fest's official website for more information!

"Interwoven stories demonstrate that some traditions are best not forgotten as the residents of a small town face real ghosts and goblins on Halloween. Tales of terror reveal the consequences of extinguishing a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight and a grumpy hermit's encounter with a sinister trick-or-treater.
