The Walking Dead #109 was released today, but if you haven't had a chance to pick it up, you can take a look at the first six pages right now. There's been a lot of speculation about what exactly is going on in the cover art from The Walking Dead #109, and you can get your answer by reading the pages below.
Over the last year, the series had put a much stronger focus on Rick and Carl, with us seeing very little of most supporting characters and the residents of Alexandria. It seems like that's starting to change, as we've seen more interaction with Michonne lately, and this month's issue has a strong focus on Maggie and Jesus.
This is a zombie and Negan-free story, but it's not a bad issue at all. This story is building up to a confrontation that was discussed in issue #108 and it seems like Robert Kirkman has something planned for Spencer as well. After you read issue #109, or if you don't care about spoilers, take a look at the early cover art for The Walking Dead #110, #111, and #112 for an idea of where the story is headed. We also recently posted the cover art and release details for Volume 18, for those that have been waiting to read the new issues until the latest volume was released.
