After Kirk literally stumbles into Leatherface's lair, he looks up and sees the killer's bulky frame towering above him, face masked by another's skin, and mallet raised in one meaty hand. This brief, brutal scene from writer/director Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is perhaps one of the scariest points of view in horror movie history. And soon you can recreate this menacing Leatherface pose and others of your own devising, as NECA has revealed a new Leatherface Figure that should please fans of the original film and add more horror to your Halloween.

Via their Twitter account, NECA today unveiled the next installment of their 8" Mego-style figure line: a retro version of Leatherface that's due out sometime before Halloween. Depicted wearing a blood-stained apron over a short sleeve collared shirt with a tiny blue tie hanging down from his neck, this Leatherface bears the old-school skin mask and is shown with a mallet raised in his right hand, as if he's ready to bring it down on poor Kirk's head once more.
