The Walking Dead Season 2 wrapped up filming last November. With 16 episodes ordered for the third season, it won't be long before filming begins. We have details on where they'll be filming, plus news on a possible new cast member.

"The small town of Senoia in Coweta County is about to become zombie central for the filming of a hit cable show The Walking Dead. The show is scheduled to shoot in the town in May and construction of zombie sets will begin next week, which will involve 60 local carpenters. Scott Tigchelaar of Raleigh Studios Atlanta says people can expect to see the town a little dirtier than normal to fit the look of the show."

We've included a new report video below, which shows the area where they will be filming. In other Season 3 news, IMDB lists Marvin Duerkholz (MTV's Teen Wolf) as a addition to the cast, playing Phillip Eagle. There is no such character in the comic series, so your guess is as good as ours.

Lastly, we covered the story earlier in the week that Tom Savini wants to play The Governor. He also revealed that they may be looking to cast John Hawkes in the role. According to Hawkes' publicist, that is not the case: "John is NOT appearing on The Walking Dead."

A big thanks goes out to Hans-Ake Lilja of Lilja's Library for the news scoop.
