With Fear The Walking Dead recently returning to AMC for the second half of its sixth season, Daily Dead was thrilled to take part in virtual roundtable interviews with the cast to discuss what it was like returning to the set after being on hiatus due to COVID-19, continuing to develop their characters, and the unpredictable nature of the upcoming episodes.
One week before it airs on AMC on February 28th, The Walking Dead's extended tenth season will be available to stream on AMC+ beginning February 21st, and accompanying this news is a promo video and photos from the upcoming slate of new episodes.
"Evil people aren't the exception to the rule. They are the rule." So says Gabriel in the tense new trailer for The Walking Dead's expanded tenth season.
We've seen the characters of Fear The Walking Dead experience crucial arcs of loss, love, and hope over the past six seasons (it feels like an eternity since we first watched Nick wake up in a living nightmare), and those journeys will continue into another season, as AMC has renewed Fear The Walking Dead for a seventh season, according to a new video on the show's official Twitter page (see video below).
If you've been watching Fear The Walking Dead's sixth season, then you know the show's survivors have changed drastically in the aftermath of Virginia splitting up Morgan's group, and we've also seen some creative new looks at the ever-ravenous living dead. Following the Dr. Frankenstein-esque walker creations that were encountered in the mid-season 6 finale of Fear The Walking Dead, it looks like there are more eerie enemies ahead (of both the living and the dead variety), as evidenced in the trailer for the second half of season 6.
During Comic-Con@Home back in July, AMC announced that they were extending The Walking Dead's tenth season with six new episodes, and today the network revealed a February 28th premiere for the expanded portion of season 10, along with the reveal of the synopses for the next six episodes and a virtual table read video featuring special guest star Robert Patrick.
After being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was revealed during a Comic-Con@Home panel that the the long-awaited season 10 finale of AMC's The Walking Dead will air on Sunday, October 4th (along with the premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond, with six additional season 10 episodes slated to air in early 2021.
While COVID-19 halted production on Fear the Walking Dead's sixth season this year, fans can still look forward to seeing the new season when it premieres on Sunday, October 11th at 9:00pm EST. Ahead of its premiere this fall, you can now watch the new trailer and panel to get an idea of what to expect after the cliffhanger at the end of season 5.
While The Walking Dead comic book series may have come to a surprise end last year with the 193rd issue, writer Robert Kirkman and artist Charlie Adlard are picking up the story of Negan for a good cause in a new one-shot.
The living are just as dangerous as the living dead in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. Following the video game's release on the PSVR in May, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners will soon receive "The Meatgrinder Update," and a new trailer promises that living dead "heads will roll" when the update goes into effect this July on the Oculus, Steam, and PSVR.
"Trust gets you dead when you give it to the wrong person." Following its release for the Oculus Rift, Rift S, and HTC Vive back in January, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners has now made its way to PlayStation VR, and a new trailer offers a closer look at what gamers can expect from the living dead version of The Big Easy.
Oculus Quest owners can still expect The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners to be released on that platform later this year.
In the meantime, you can watch the new trailer for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners below, and to learn more about its PlayStation VR release, visit:
"Featuring an original storyline, freedom of choice and visceral combat, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners offers a deep-rooted VR gaming experience in which players must fight to survive the flooded ruins of New Orleans, surrounded by unending herds of walkers and torn apart by warfare between the remaining survivors. Players will explore this expansive world as they fight their way through humans and walkers, scavenge weapons and supplies, make brutal moral choices and uncover a mystery that will determine the future for everyone left alive in NOLA.
“With The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, we set out to create an experience that players and fans could fully immerse themselves in, which you can’t get from playing a console or mobile title,” said Adam Grantham, Creative Director at Skydance Interactive. “We wanted to give players an original story that truly belonged within The Walking Dead universe, from the environments, the narrative and the combat to make them feel as if they were truly living in this gruesome world.”
Skydance Interactive’s innovative approach to VR offers players a new way to live survival horror in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, by taking physicality and motion into account with players’ actions, allowing for a deeper interaction between the player and their environment. Scale buildings to ambush enemies from above, hold down a walker’s head to rip a knife out of its skull or attack from a distance with throwing weapons, bows and long-range firearms. Players can also choose from an arsenal of weapons or craft their own to fit their play style and survive their way. Physics-based combat turns every swing of an axe or jab of a knife into not just one of clever planning, but of physical effort to overcome enemies.
